Care & Support

Palatine House offer a child-centred, integrated approach that combines care, therapy, social and emotional and health needs. Our goal is to meet each child's educational and emotional needs while incorporating personalised daily activities that fully engage them. By building trusting relationships, we strive to foster positive change and long-term success.

Every placement is carefully considered through a detailed risk assessment. In cases where a swift transition is in the child’s best interest, same-day placements can be arranged—provided that the placement’s objectives align with the home’s purpose and a structured plan is in place. Each child or young person is assessed individually to ensure their needs are met effectively.

This service is designed to support children and young people facing emotional and behavioural challenges due to past trauma. It is particularly beneficial for those struggling with attachment difficulties, dissociation, or requiring a period of stabilisation in a therapeutic setting. A solo home environment provides a safe space where relationships are the foundation for growth and healing.

The team is focused on meeting the unique needs of children with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties. By providing structure, consistency, and clear boundaries, we help children feel secure, allowing them to develop emotional regulation skills, self-esteem, and a sense of self-worth. Over time, this stability prepares them to transition into group living arrangements, return home where appropriate, or move on to live independently.
